Volunteer Registration is NOW OPEN!

On Saturday, January 28, 2017 the Street & Sheltered Point-in-Time Count & Survey is conducted across Orange County. This is an essential step and required by HUD for the county to maintain funding used in the fight to end homelessness.  We count to understand homelessness in our community in order to end it. The”Point-In-Time” count & survey provides statistically accurate data on the homeless population in Orange County. We need an estimated 1,500 volunteers to work in the field and at deployment centers on the morning of the count. Deployment centers are located strategically throughout Orange County and the fieldwork takes place in the streets.  Volunteers walk map areas throughout the county that are either “hot” or “warm” spots, where people experiencing homelessness are sleeping in areas not meant for human habitation. We need YOUR help to make everyone count!
